The other thing we have been working on is the website. Our updated site will feature an improved shopping cart for you and a few other things, all of which we are pleased about and can’t wait to see the new look site “go live”.

We will also be asking for some input from you, our important customers, about what kind of bags you would like to see us stock for you. So why don’t you bookmark our site and come visit again soon to see the new bagsyit range and look.

We had a really successful time at our first farmers market which was combined with a green fayre in Hope Street, Liverpool on Sunday. Despite the really cold weather on the day and a few drops of rain there was a good turnout of people and it was great to see and talk to our customers face to face.

Holly (Nicky’s daughter) and Freya, her friend from school also helped us out for a while as well by handing out leaflets to people who were walking through the market.  We managed to “bagsy” ourselves a really good pitch next to the tea and coffee stall and we kept ourselves warm with plenty of cups of tea and the odd bacon sandwich!  It was great to see the children choosing their own bags on Sunday and finding out from them what they planned to use them for.  My boys (Dan and Jamie) use theirs as a “taking toys to Grandma’s house” bag!  We even managed to get ourselves a mention and a photograph in the Liverpool Echo and the Liverpool Daily Post.

The only downside was the couple of hours it took us to thaw out properly when we got home!

Just to let you know that we have added some additional bags to our Envirosax Kids range as well with Piggy in the middle, and Wingnut, so have another look at our shop as they are on there.  All of the Envirosax Kids bags really will make ideal stocking fillers for Christmas.  And on that note we will be at the Liverpool College Xmas Market at the end of November too.

Woody La Boheme!

On that note we have been busy finding some new products to bring to you.  We are now stocking the gorgeous Envirosax Kids range of bags which have already proved a bit hit with our own children and many of their school friends.  They are great to use as school bags, PE bags or even swimming bags as they are big enough to carry lots of things in, they are made of nylon and are machine washable.  We bet all the “big kids” in your family will love them too.  We are especially loving the cute characters on the bags, if you haven’t had a look at them yet then go and check them out in our shop.

We are also very pleased to be exclusively stocking the lovely b happy bags all the way from Arizona, USA.  These great roomy cotton shoppers are made in the USA as well and come in a range of bright colourful patterns and designs.  Just right for taking out shopping with you and you can even colour  co-ordinate them with your outfit.  They are also good to brighten up even the darkest autumn days as they look so cheerful, hence the name b happy perhaps??

Lastly we have been busy on the marketing front and we are hoping to appear in the Liverpool Echo later this month, our local paper, and also feature in the Family Go Live magazine at the beginning of November.  All very exciting for us so, watch this space and we will be back with more updates soon.

Flip and Tumble 24-7 bag

According to the Marine Conservation Society did you know that every household in the UK uses 300 plastic bags every year!  Even when they are disposed of correctly, plastic bags often get blown out of bins and landfill sites and end up creating litter in our towns and countryside and, not forgetting the oceans too.

On that note it is the UK’s first plastic bag free day on Saturday 12th September 2009 so hopefully this will encourage you all to start saying “no” to those plastic bags once and for all at the check out and start using a reusable bag every time you shop. You can have a warm feeling knowing that you are helping the environment by reducing the use of plastic bags and also knowing that you look stylish with the 24-7 bag whilst you are doing it.

It’s hard to keep young children entertained, isn’t it?

Well,  it is the school holidays and you would not believe how useful our Flip and Tumble 24-7 bag has turned out to be. I took the boys for a picnic the other day (on one of our few nice days this summer) and we packed up all of the food and drink in to our bag. It is amazing that one small bag can hold so much!

Anyway after we had finished eating the boys got bored. It was then that we found many alternative uses for the bag. Dan rolled it up back into its pouch and used it for a game of catch with Jamie and keepy uppy. The dog was also going mad trying to get his paws on the bag too, so we ended up playing piggy in the middle with Woody!! Worn out I then used it as a stress reliever ball to chill out!

This led me to thinking what alternative uses you can think of for the 24-7 bag?
